Commissions

I work to commission with both private clients and designers. Prices are dependent on size and I take a 25% deposit to secure the booking. Lead-time is usually 8-12 weeks, though this varies depending on exhibitions and other commissioned work.

When working with you on a commission we’ll begin the process by having a chat about other paintings of mine you are drawn to and why. We look at the space where you’re planning to hang the painting and what kind of size, mood, colour palette and composition appeals to you. You might have a very specific idea of what you would like, or maybe a photo of a place or skyscape that you’d like me to draw inspiration from. You might prefer to hand over the decision-making to me completely – or you may rest somewhere in between, as most of my clients do. I don’t recreate photos or previous paintings but I can work with a similar palette and composition.

This consultation process is often remote, via Facetime, email, WhatsApp or Instagram, but of course you are very welcome to visit me in Cheltenham. I send photos and videos of the painting once I’ve reached a stage where I feel it is taking shape and I need your feedback. I will make as many changes as necessary, within reason, to make sure you are happy before signing off.

Delivery is not included in the price and depending on size can be with Parcelforce or my local courier.
